MID Labs., Inc. is located in the San Francisco Bay Area/Silicon Valley area of California, USA. Our San Leandro location near the Oakland Airport is a reverse commute from several nearby cities, including San Francisco and Fremont.

You are a leader. You would be responsible for managing and directing a group of product development/engineering resources. You will partner with departments to introduce new products to the market; Manage, develop, and motivate a diverse group of engineers to achieve optimal productivity.
You are an intelligent, self-motivated, creative, hard-working, detail-oriented, adaptable research and development engineer with a background in mechanical engineering. You are ready to tackle any scale of engineering problem with creative ideas, prototyping of samples, testing, analysis, and improvement. You are interested in the quality and documentation of your finished work because it can have an impact on thousands of people around the world.
You are an intrinsically-motivated, hands-on, self-starter who wants to develop, document, and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, and custom tooling for assembly, testing, inspecting, and packaging of ophthalmic surgical components and disposables.
You are a skilled, detail-oriented worker who wants to assemble mechanical components into medical subassemblies, equipment, and disposables.
You want to manage a staff of approximately 30 assemblers and activities of production department, while applying your knowledge of production methods, processes, machines and equipment. You want to supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in assembling, testing, and inspecting.
